Article 1. Definitions

* Calliope: Calliope, or Calliope, or the service is a subsidiary service owned by Ludwig.guru.
* Service(s): All services carried out by Calliope for you.
* Document(s): All documents provided to Calliope by you, including, but not limited to, articles, manuscripts, reports, documents, etc.
* Order: An agreement between you and Calliope for the provision of certain services.
* Editing service: A service provided by an Expert on Calliope who edits an uploaded Document.
* Editing period: The period that ends with the final time and date by which a Document should be checked.
* Expert: A natural or legal person who is engaged by Calliope to perform the services in an Order.

Article 3. Applicability

The terms and conditions apply to any tender, quote, order, or other agreement, between you and Calliope. When it appears that one or numerous provisions are invalid, the remaining provisions remain applicable.

Article 4. Description of Services

We make various services available on this site including, but not limited to, editing and proofreading services, and other like services. You are responsible for providing, at your own expense, all equipment necessary to use the services, including a computer, modem, and Internet access (including payment of all fees associated with such access).
We reserve the sole right to either modify or discontinue the site, including any of the site's features, at any time with or without notice to you. We will not be liable to you or any third party should we exercise such right. Any new features that augment or enhance the then-current services on this site shall also be subject to these Terms of Service.

Article 5. Order

An order is official only upon your acceptance of Calliope's offer and subsequent payment for the order. Calliope will confirm receipt of your acceptance and payment electronically.

Article 6. Modification of the Order

During the execution of an order, if it is necessary to modify or enhance the order, Calliope will consult with you to agree upon the modifications.

Article 7. Cancellation of an Order by Calliope

Calliope reserves the right to cancel an order after it has been accepted. Calliope can also cancel the order if the uploaded document by you does not meet minimum requirements, which include educational relevance and basic quality of the document. If Calliope cancels an order, we will contact you promptly.
All content, including Documents, uploaded on Calliope must comply with our Copyright Policy. Violations of this policy will result in Calliope canceling an Order.

Article 8. License to your content

By submitting content, you grant Calliope a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty free license to modify, display, perform, reproduce, distribute and use your content in connection with the operation and execution of services by Calliope.

Article 9. Retention of Documents

Calliope will store the uploaded Document(s) on its server for a period of one year.

Article 10. User Registration and Accounts

Users might be required to register with the Site and maintain an active account in order to use the Calliope service.

**Registration**
Users agree to provide Calliope with an active email address to facilitate communication regarding crucial information about the Site, Services offered, and the user account. Calliope holds the right to alter or reclaim a username selected by a user if it is deemed inappropriate or offensive at Calliope's sole discretion. Any changes to the username will be promptly communicated to the user via their registered email.

**Accounts**
Each User is eligible for one account only. Users agree to keep their password and account details confidential. They will be held accountable for any activity that occurs under the use of their account and password. Accounts that are inactive for a period of more than 12 months are subject to closure. A notification of a pending account closure will be sent to the registered email address of the account holder.

Article 11. Confidentiality and Storage of Documents

All documents and pieces of text submitted to Calliope for correction and editing services are regarded as private and confidential. Calliope does not distribute, sell or share user-generated content, documents or pieces of text unless written consent is granted by the user. The documents and pieces of text are securely retained on our servers and can only be accessed by authorized personnel. The authorized users include:

1. The user (You), through your account. Pieces of text and documents can be accessed using your account. You are required to log in to your account to access your history of corrected pieces of text or documents.

2. Calliope's direct experienced editors, for the exclusive purpose of providing the editing service. In the event that there are no editors available to accept your job within our network, we reserve the right to resort to third-party editing agencies and services. We have signed agreements with them that guarantee quality, confidentiality, and security standards equal to our own.

3. Calliope's Customer Support, for the sole objective of assisting you and providing necessary support. Documents are normally deleted from our servers after 12 months have passed from delivery of the order.

Article 12. Copyright policy

Calliope Editor respects the intellectual property rights of every content creator. Copyright holders can manage their rights on Calliope. To understand how, please refer to the "Copyright Disputes" section below.

Calliope users are prohibited from submitting content that infringes on copyrights. This includes all forms of content such as questions, answers, and documents. In simpler terms, only submit work that is originally yours and not the work created by someone else without their clear authorization. Reproducing material from third-party sources, either directly or by paraphrasing, is a violation of copyright laws and is strictly prohibited on Calliope.

By submitting content on Calliope, you represent that:

You hold the copyrights to the content or have explicit permission from the copyright owners to use and upload the content;

Your upload of the content will not breach any law, regulation, or ethics code, including your institution’s academic integrity policy (if applicable);

Uploading the content will not violate Calliope’s Terms of Use or this Copyright Policy.

Calliope will remove or disable access to content if we are notified of copyright infringements. We will also enforce termination of accounts belonging to repeat offenders of this Policy.

Article 13. Review period for Editing Service

The editing period will be determined at the time of service purchase. Calliope shall communicate the editing period via email. The editing period begins at the time of payment and ends when Calliope returns the edited document to you.

Article 14. Cancellation instructions

You cannot cancel an order once it is placed unless otherwise agreed upon with Calliope.

Article 15. Improvement of Services

Calliope may use user data and feedback to improve our services but are not compensated unless previously agreed upon expressly.

Article 16. Take-Down Requests

If a user wishes to have their content removed from the platform, they may do so by sending a formal take-down request.

Article 17. Liability

Calliope is not liable for consequences due to inaccurate or incomplete content provided by the user, or for failing to meet an editing period deadline.

Article 18. Changes to these terms of use

Calliope reserves the right to modify these terms at any time.

Article 19. Applicable laws and dispute settlement

All legal relationships to which Calliope is party are governed exclusively by the laws of Italy, Palermo. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be settled in Palermo, Italy
